Who is the trainer?
The head trainer is John Mair. John has 15+ years experience in pro wrestling and formerly was a trainer at Dean Malenko's Training Academy in Tampa. John is well versed in all styles of wrestling and shares this wealth of knowledge with his students. Several of John's students have made it to the WWE.
Mikey Whipwreck, although recently retired from competition, is still an active part of NYWC. Formerly the head trainer of the NYWC Training Academy, Mikey has worked with many of our students and has also trained several WWE and International wrestling superstars.
When do you train?
Training nights are Sunday and Tuesday nights from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursday nights we have open ring for advanced students and professionals looking to get in extra ring time.
Will you get me into the WWE?
No school can guarantee you that, but we can promise you that you will be trained in many different styles and will be taught what the WWE is looking for in order to make it there. We frequently have WWE scouts at our facility and they are always looking for new and promising talent.
How much does it cost?
We're presently running a "Recession Buster" package where tuition is only $150 per month!!
When can I wrestle on the NYWC shows?
That all depends on the individual, how fast he or she picks things up, how dedicated the student is and how hard they are willing to push themselves. In general it takes between six months to a year.
